Punjabi Tarka in Leicester

"Punjabi Tadka on Melton Road is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors! I recently tried their Chole Bhatura, and I can confidently say it's the best you'll find in Leicester. The bhatura was incredibly tasty, light, and fluffy—not oily at all, which is a huge plus. Plus, they were enormous! The Amritsari chole was very, very tasty. The spice level was perfect, striking that ideal balance and bringing back memories of India. It felt incredibly authentic and delicious. To complement the meal, we ordered both sweet and salty lassi, which were the perfect accompaniment to the chole. The only slight downside is that the restaurant is a bit small, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating in. However, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommend getting takeaway!"

"Just had a fantastic meal at Punjabi Tarka! For vegetarians looking for delicious and authentic Punjabi food, this place is a hidden gem. All the food tastes like home cooked. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. You definitely won't leave hungry! They only add 10% service charge for eating in. The only downside is that it is still cash only payment. I wish they start taking digital payment soon. I highly recommend checking them out!"

"I have been to Punjabi Tarka a few times and the food is good. The food definitely has the special authentic taste of Punjab and it definitely reminds one as of they are in Punjab having this. The food is great and taste is good. Also I would say price wise is very reasonable compared to other Punjabi restaurants in Leicester as there are so many and finding one which has the real right taste of Punjabi food I would say Punjabi Tarka . The only down side is the restaurant is small but for taste and quality is good."

"Lovely small resturant in heart of Leicester Belgrave Road. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentically Punjabi. The paneer dishes were exceptional, and the roti was perfectly soft. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for anyone craving traditional Indian vegetarian cuisine. there is plenty of parking on otherside of road near Shiva temple or free parking on side of road on weekend. I will definitely be back!"
